“What inspired me to start with the Sarasota-Venice Macaroni Kid media site was the need to find events and activities that were fun and affordable for my family to do. As a parent of a pre-teen and twin toddlers and being apart of a very large family with a span of age groups, we are continuously on the hunt for new places to discover and creative ideas to keep our kid’s active. I never thought I would be a mom to twin girls, but I have been blessed more than I could imagine. On a typical weekend my family will venture out to a new park or if there are any activities going on that weekend we will try something new. We enjoy the simple things in life and love living in paradise!

Sarasota-Venice Macaroni Kid has given me the opportunity to heavily engage in local, fun and economical community events. As part of the growth and development of this venture, there are multiple opportunities to engage with local businesses, event planners, local races, holiday events and parks and recreation facilities which connected me to RJ Huebert and Claire Selius who originally launched and host The Great Mother’s Day Race through many generous sponsorships.
